Oh, my aching feet..

Bunions -- at the base of both little and big toes -- are caused by improper foot support, e.g., high heels, especially without good side and arch support. Over time, the foot bones splay out, but the toes bones are held in place by the toe or strap of the shoe, forcing the base joint to bend or dislocate and eventually become inflamed. This pain can be severe.

To eliminate it quickly, rub some castor oil thoroughly into the joint at night before bedtime. Wrap some gauze or a large band-aid loosely around the joint and wear an old sock to sleep (as the oil can stain sheets). Wash the oil off thoroughly in the morning.

A few nights of this will eradicate most or all of the pain, but the joint dislocation will remain and may flare up or inflame at a later time if the same kinds of shoes are worn.

For long-term relief, change your footwear to low or no heels with decent arch and side support. Also a good chiropractor or Quantum-Touch practitioner can help re-adjust the displaced toe joint for more permanent healing.
