Dandruff

For healing dandruff:

Use apple cider vingar as a rinse after shampooing your hair. And don't rub conditioners into your scalp, just apply them to the hair itself.

Also, rotate brands of shampoo. Your scalp and hair get "allergic" to the same old stuff week after week. (Your skin does, too, with the same old soaps, so rotate brands of soap you use.)

Also, try shampooing less often. The more you shampoo, the more irritated your scalp becomes, as you keep stripping it of natural oils. Yes, it looks icky the first day you don't wash it, but just rinse it under the shower and massage your scalp with plain water to release some of the oils. Give your hair and scalp one extra day in between shampooing to reduce irritation to the scalp.

Over the months, keep adding an extra day in between washing your hair. Once or twice a week at most is best for hair and scalp health. The older you get, the less often your hair and scalp can afford to be stripped of natural oils without damage.

And please, go easy on the chemical gels and sprays. They get into your scalp and bloodstream and are nothing but irritating chemicals and drying alcohol.
