This free online class on quantum energy healing focuses on the coordination of the central and autonomic nervous systems at each vertebral plexus. Why is this important? The holistic health information in the Edgar Cayce readings state that incoordination between these systems opens the door to illness and disease. It's not a stretch to see that stress can disrupt and hence incoordinate neurological function. Let's look very simply at their functions to understand how this works. First, the Central Nervous System (CNS) -- the brain, spinal cord and nerves trunking out of the spine -- are what we mostly have control over. When we want to pick up a pen, step on the brake, sing a song, etc., the conscious mind engages with the CNS. It also gives us the feedback to know we have grasped the pen, hit the right/wrong note, etc. We can think of this system as the place where our conscious minds interface between the outside world and the inner world of thought and intention. It is where we do what we want (or try to). The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) -- the brain and nerves in front of the spine -- has control over those functions we don't think about consciously -- breathing, digesting, eliminating, keeping the heart beating, etc. It is like the subconscious, where all information about us is stored. We can think of this system as the place responsible for doing what is necessary to keep us alive. This is the system that "knows what is right" for us. These systems communicate with each other energetically -- the nerves branching out from the spinal column and the network of autonomic nerves in front of them. They resonate with each other to perform synchronous functions. Each vertebrae is a plexus or crossroads of energy pathways. When the communication between the two nervous systems at each juncture is open and flowing well, we are in a state of health. All functions are performed smoothly and optimally. When the communication between them has broken down, it is like static on an electrical line ... discord opens the way for organ malfunction. Now we can get a glimpse of why these systems need to work together, be coordinated. There are a couple of ways to restore coordination. The person may be seated or can be lying down, which is best. 1. Starting with C5, feel for the spinous process. Place your index fingers on either side of the process and let the other fingertips rest along the intercostals on both sides. 2. Send energy through your fingertips and mentally imagine connecting the CNS with the ANS. (You can send energy by inhaling up from your feet and exhaling the energy out your arms and fingers, or by inhaling through the top of your head and exhaling out the arms and fingers.) This can take at least a minute at each plexus. C7 takes longer. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 at each process down to L5. So there are 20 stations -- 3 cervicals, 12 thoracics and 5 lumbars. There is a special coordination to be done between T1, T2, T3 and T4 plexuses, which help to coordinate the pulse and breath. When this is coordinated, people often feel much better and can heal faster. In fact, if these plexuses are not coordinated, a person cannot heal completely. First check if these plexuses need coordination: With fingertips on the person's pulse, observe the breathing. The rhythm of the breathing should coordinate with the pulse. Many people are out of sync here, so after coordinating all 20 junctures, ... 1. Place your left fingertips along the left side of the T1 process and your right fingertips along T2. Coordinate these. 2. Then move your right fingers to T3 and repeat. Do the same for T4. 3. Now, switch hands and coordinate T2, T3 and T4 on the left side with your fingertips on the right of T1 process. Occasionally, these energies also like to be anchored to L4 and L5 process, so repeat the left-right pairing with those lumbar junctures. The person will feel noticeably better after this procedure. A Simple Massage Technique for Coordination This technique does not totally coordinate the CNS and ANS in cases where the connection is broken. But it will reinforce the connections with those of your clients who regularly receive massage and/or chiropractic. It is a valuable -- and very pleasant -- wellness therapy. 1. Begin by standing on the person's right side when they are face down on the table. A bit of light oil down the spine will help your fingertips glide. 2. Place your left fingertips to the left of their C5 spinous process and your right fingertips on top of your left to apply pressure. 3. Press into the muscle and stroke up and out, like the top of a circle or an arc about 3" long out from the spine. This is with some pressure, so that you see and feel your fingertips push the skin and muscle away from the spine. 4. Complete the circle without pressure, bringing your fingertips back to the process. Do these arcing circles three times altogether, with pressure only on the up-and-out phase of the arc. 5. Slide your fingertips down next to the left side of the C6 process and repeat steps 3 and 4. Continue on down the spine at each vertebra to L5. 6. Move to the person's left side, switch your hand position and mirror the movements on the right side of the spine from C5 to L5. You can either do 3 circles at each vertebra or you can go down the whole spine 3 times, making one circle at each vertebra, whichever feels best to you. The most important part of this sequence is that you are mentally imaging the coordination function with each stroke you do. ![]() I hope you have enjoyed the class and that your clients have a healthful experience.
