For healing sunburn and burns: Pour apple cider vinegar onto a burn as soon after you get burned as possible. The sooner you pour it over the burn, the quicker and more thoroughly it will totally eliminate any pain, as well as any scarring. Keep pouring the vinegar on it until the pain stops. This is necessary if time has passed between getting burned and using the vinegar. Always keep a jar near the stove. For sunburn, soak an old t-shirt or piece of cotton cloth with apple cider vinegar and wear it or wrap the area until the throbbing subsides. Splash vinegar onto the cloth frequently in cases of severe burn, especially when you haven't been able to get to the vinegar immediately. Yes, it stinks, but get over it. OR, if you can find therapeutic-grade essential oil of lavender, it also works wonders with burns and sunburns. Don't bother with any lavender off the shelf, even from a health food store, as 95% of it is cut with cheaper ingredients, some of which contain camphor which irritates burns. Back to Info Page.
