You should know that, while orthodontia most often corrects imbalanced pressures on the cranial plates through the maxillary arch and jaw, it may occasionally, through the course of aligning the teeth, create its own set of pressures in the cranium. The sphenoid bone, especially, is prone to move in relation to muscular tensions through the tempromandibular joint.
