How Guided Imagery Meditations Work



First, let me assure you that there are NO embedded subconscious commands in any of these guided imagery meditations. I am not running for president and I do not want control of your mind. Controlling my own keeps me plenty busy. So, rest assured, these are not imageries that will force you to buy or do anything you don't want to.

The idea behind guided imagery meditations is simple:

When you enter a state of relaxation, your subconscious mind becomes more open to suggestions than when your consciousness is fully engaged. To an extent, the awake consciousness acts like a guardian at the gate of your mind, saying, This can come in. That is junk and I reject it.

This is what tv commercials are based on -- you're in a relaxed state enjoying a show and the commercial messages go right in to your subconscious, influencing you over and over again to try their brand on your next shopping trip. So it's a good idea not to fall asleep with the tv on!

Of course, if you become alert and more conscious, you can say, "Oh, that's a bunch of baloney" and reject the message. You are also free to do that with the Daily Dragon audio files, too, if you hear something you don't care for.

If that happens, feel free to transcribe a script for any of the guided imagery meditations, alter the wording to suit yourself and record your own audio file. Simple!

Some people will find that a guided meditation goes too slowly for them. Others will want more time in between images. So, again, you are welcome to transcribe your own scripts and record at your own pace.

The suggestions on the Daily Dragon guided imageries are all simple and positive, as all suggestions should be. The subconscious does not hear negatives - everything goes in as a "true" statement.

Think about this - it's important. It means that, if you say or think "I don't want to get sick" or "I don't want to lose my job," the affirmation that the subconscious hears is "get sick" or "lose job."

The energy will create that situation, if you say or think it enough. That's what's behind the saying, "That which I feared has come upon me." The subconscious does not hear negatives! Get this - it's important!

The audios are designed to encourage your mind to think more constructively and to help you find a better way to get through some of life's daily challenges. Imaging is powerful. As Albert Einstein said,

"Imagination is the preview of life's coming attractions."

So, what are you imagining? What are your thoughts creating? What results are you getting with the same old, same old thought patterns?

After using one of the guided meditations a few times for a certain problem, your mind will be able to correct itself whenever a stressful event of that particular kind comes up again. What a gift!
